Sunrise breaking, camera in hand

In nature's beauty, here I stand

Clear mind, fresh air

Eyes watching, everywhere.

A hare, a dear, bounding by,

As the dawn chorus fills the sky.

All before me illuminated red and gold,

A magical fillip for the soul.

Mornings like these cleanse me,

Mornings like these refresh me.

I'm a very lucky man,

Wandering in nature, camera in hand.

Paul,

This poem has all the ingredients to deliver a very pleasing poem. It has the early day light and the mood, as captured.

It's great to find you here writing again:)

Thank you Eileen.

After three years without writing I'm very rusty. I definitely have work to do, but the 'feeling' has returned. Hopefully I'll get serious about writing again. Photography has become a real passion; so maybe I'll combine the two. 😊

The poem reads like a morning prayer with joy. Beautiful.

Thank you. It does feel very spiritual when I'm out in nature.

Paul, so good to see you! It has been a while. We all need moments like these to cleanse us. I enjoyed this peaceful poem so very much.

My apologies. I haven't used this site since I set it up three years ago lol. I will try to sort it out so it's less confusing. 🙂

Paul, thank you for linking at What's Going On? So lovely to see your name pop up there. Like you, I love nothing more than wandering through the beauty of nature, camera in hand. Your poem reminds me I havent done that in far too long.
